Robert G. Heatwall

Robert G. Heatwall (Peewee), 72, of Tallmadge, passed away Nov. 28, 2002 at Hospice Care Center.

He was born July 28, 1930 to the late Samuel and Pearl (Harrison) Thomas. While serving as a Merchant Marine and serving in Desert Storm, he became disabled/retired. He also served as Summit County Deputy Sheriff/De tective for approximately 20 years. He was a member of Local 17 Iron Workers and was a founding member and life-member of the North American Indian Cultural Center. He also had a love of country music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph O.D. and Ernest Thomas. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Juanita (Collier); daughters, Janet Baggett, Deidre Heatwall; sons, George (Barbara) Thomas, Raymond (Tina) Heatwall, John Heatwall; grandchildren, Jamie, Timothy, Erica, Jarett, Joshua; special grandchild, Derek; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mae Thomas.

Family and friends will be re ceived, Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Claude McCutcheon officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hospice Care Center.
