Nick R. Cicora


Nick R. Cicora, 79, of Boston Heights OH, died Tuesday June 1, 2004 at Akron City Hospital.

Having grown up in Northfield, Nick graduated from Northfield High School where he played football and also taught 7th grade shop class during the war do to the shortage of teachers. Nick was a US Army Veteran WW II serving in the South Pacific. Although he retired from Terex in Hudson in 1972 after working for 15 years, he was also the owner of Little York Nursery in Boston Heights on Olde Eight Road until closing it in 1993.

As a nurseryman, he did all he could to further the beauty in the world around him. He also joined with his son in the landscaping business for 15 years. A creative individual, Nick collected many awards for industrial suggestions and finding ways to solve practical problems.

A devoted family man, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathryn W. Cicora and his brother, George Cicora, and is survived by his loving wife of almost 59 years, Wilma (nee Frame), daughter Nickole (William) Forbes, son William (Pamela) Cicora, grandchildren William Forbes, Jr., Michelle Forbes (Rusty) Arbaugh , Michael (Melissa) Forbes ,W. Adam (Sarah) Cicora , and Andrew Cicora, great grandchildren, Forbes Nicholas Arbaugh, W. Miles Arbaugh, Jacob Forbes, David Forbes and Dakota Cicora.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 4, 2004 at Johnson-Romito, A Golden Rule Funeral Home, Northfield Center OH. Mr. Cicora was buried at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
