Gene T. Orem, 76, of Byesville, died Dec. 16, 2006 at Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born January 26, 1930 in Akron, a son of Holly Orem and Pauline (Hendrix) Orem (both deceased). He retired as a heavy equipment operator with Kenmore Construction in Akron, and had been an Aviation Tech. 3rd Class with the U.S. Navy. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Akron, a former Council member for Boston Heights for 12 years.
He is survived by daughters, Kimberly (Clarence) Gipson of Cambridge, Ohio and Anara Cooper of Cambridge, Ohio; sons, Paul and Mark Orem, both of Texas; sisters, Lynn Ahwajie and LaGretta (Wendell) Beane, both of Akron; brothers, Lane (Delores) Orem of Akron; grandchildren, Crystal Morris, Joy and Aaron Cooper; great-grandchildren, Kaytlyn and Haley Cooper; also special friend, JoNell Cooper of Byesville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Vistation was Tuesday evening, 5 to 8 p.m. at Bundy-Law Funeral Home in Cambridge, Ohio, with funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Carl Crisman officiating. Burial at Northwood Cemetery.
